A�Inca Trail 2 Days
The spaces for the Inca Trail are quickly reserved. If youa��re considering on doing the Inca Trail to Machu picchu, make sure that you can get previously the permission, on the contrary, you would have to postpone your travel one more year, it is advisable in order to ensure your Inca Trail trek, you will pay in advance for the permission and then you can organize your trip to Cusco
Very Important:
The exact information provided by you will be submitted to the governmental institution in charge of regulating the access to the Inca Trail and will be included in the official permit to enter the Inca Trail on the requested date. Should there be any change in the above-mentioned data (ie. New passport number), we kindly request you to inform the Reservation Department at Saywas Expeditions Tour Operator via email as soon as possible. The government reserves the right not to allow the entry to any visitor whose data are not the exact ones as those in the official permit. Saywas Expeditions Tour Operator excludes any responsibility for a no entry in case the passenger information has changed without prior notice to us.
Itinerary: Day 01: Cusco a�� KM 104 a�� Aguas Calientes Town
We will pick you up early from your hotel at approximately 5:30 a.m. (depending on the train schedule) and take you by private van to the train station in Ollantaytambo. We will travel on a very picturesque route for an hour and a half to kilometer 104 a�� the start of the 2 day hike. From km 104, will walk for approximately four hours up to the Inca site of WiA�ay Wayna, meaning: a�?Forever Younga�?, at an elevation of (2,680m/8,792ft). Here you will get to explore what many consider to be the most impressive site on the Inca Trail.
After exploring WiA�ay Wayna, we will continue hiking to Inti Punku, the a�?Sun Gatea�?, where you will have your first dramatic, panaromic view of Machu Picchu, located at (2,400m/7,873ft). After taking in the magnificent view, we will walk down the last part of the trail towards the ancient city. Once we arrive in Machu Picchu, we will be able to celebrate our accomplishment and take unforgettable pictures together.
We will then descend to the main entrance, Where you will take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will have dinner and spend the night. We will have a walking tour of Machu Picchu the next morning.
Day 02: Machu Picchu !!
After an early breakfast, you will take the first bus at 6:00 a.m. to Machu Picchu. Your guide will give you a 2 hour walking tour of the mysterious city, after which you will have several hours of free time for your own exploration of the site. If you still have energy and a ticket booked ahead of time, you can also take a 45 minute climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain, at an elevation of (2,720m/8,923ft).
Once you are finished exploring the stunning site of Machu Picchu, you will meet your guide back in Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included in the price of the trek) and to receive your train tickets for your return trip to Cusco.
If desired, an extra night in Aguas Calientes can be arranged. This option is very popular as it allows you more time to explore Machu Picchu, visit the natural hot springs in Aguas Calientes, or enjoy a relaxing massage after your trek.
