We will pass by your hotel in Cusco 2 hour before departure of the train, and taking you to the train station, located in the town of Ollanaytambo, then boarding the train of the company «PERURAIL» or «INCARAIL» and to begin the journey from Ollantaytambo to the town of «Aguas Calientes» ( 2000 m) which has a duration of 2 hours.

Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, we head to the hotel, Our guide will look at night to provide necessary information for the guided tour, if you wish can visit the hot springs or buy crafts of own place.

Machu Picchu !!!! + Huayna Picchu

Very early morning the next day we head to the bus station to climb 400 meters high, by a zigzag way for 30 minutes to reach the incredible wonder of the world «The Sanctuary of Machupicchu», known as «The City Loss of the Incas «When you reach the citadel of Machu Picchu, pass by the control, where our tickets will deliver revenue and begin our guided tour. Then you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel, in the afternoon take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and head to our hotel, to take bags, and get to the train station in sufficient time to return to the city of Cusco where we will be waiting at the Ollantaytambo station will be transferred to the Hotel.

How to BOOK

Step 1: Decide how many days you want to spend at Cusco and Machu Picchu.

Terms

Please note that the program deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is used to purchase the ticket entrance to Machu Picchu and others

Saywas Expeditions will not give any refunds if a participant decides to cancel the trip prior to departure or during the trip (except from the entrances to the archaeological sites and the bus/train tickets)

If Saywas Expeditions doesn’t confirm the reservation, your payment will be refunded totally.

A participant must declare if he/she has any sickness or medical disorder and must bring his/her own medicines.

All participants must bring their original passport and, if available, their original student card ISIC.

It is compulsory that all clients have personal travel insurance. This insurance must cover personal accident, medical expenses, loss of effects and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage or injury occurring to the client. Saywas Expeditions cannot be accounted for any accident or loss of personal belongings the customer caused by his/her own.

Passport details: Please make sure that your passport is valid for the time you intend doing the Inca Trail. Furthermore, assure that the passport’s details you send us via email, such as the passport’s number, your name etc., are correct. Changes on short notice will complicate the entrance to Machu Picchu.

Important Note:

All itineraries are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control including, weather, road or trail conditions and flight schedules.
Train included in all tours is the Cerrojo-Expedition(Aguas calientes to Ollantaytambo) Train times will only be confirmed once full amount of tour is paid. The earliest train you could take is the 14:00 and being the 9:00 pm the last train. Saywas Expeditions will organize the transport back to Cusco.
Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but because of the higher altitude in the Andes, the temperature can feel quite cold, especially at night. We recommend the use of a duffel bag or backpack, whichever is easiest for you to carry. A good size daypack is also essential.

Do I need to book it in advance? This has departures guaranteed, but train tickets and entrance to Huayna Picchu mountain are subjet to availability. For that reason, we HIGHLY recommend booking it in advance to ensure you receive exactly what you want!

PLEASE NOTE: May, June and July are peak months of a HIGH TOURIST SEASON in Cusco. It means that train tickets ARE SELL OUT QUICKLY!! Please be aware that the trek leaves daily; however, return train tickets may not be available, if you like to book on last moment. To avoid this inconvenience, please book it several weeks in advance!

Students: To the students with valid card International Student Identity Card (ISIC) In case to be a student, the card must be properly scanned and send digitally to our e- mail before you pay the initial deposit for the reservation, in order to qualify for the discount .

Climate:

Cusco’s climate is divided into two differentiated seasons: THE RAINY SEASON, from November to April (the heaviest rainfalls occurring usually between January – March); and THE DRY SEASON, from May to October. The dry season is colder, so temperatures can drop to below 0 degrees at night.

Along the trip, temperatures range from 10-20ºC during the day if it’s sunny, to05-10ºC during the day if not sunny and can drop below freezing at night. In Aguas Calientes/Machupicchu, at lower altitude, temperatures are usually warmer though warm clothes are still recommended at night.
